FROM THE MATINICUS BOARD OF ASSESSORS:

 

We appreciate the cooperation from residents and visitors of adhering to the guidelines set forth by Governor Mills during the Stay-at-Home order. We are pleased to share that there have been no reports of known exposure to any resident on the island up to date. As we move forward through “Restarting Maine’s Economy”, we will continue to encourage islanders to keep our community safe by following guidelines and staying informed of new precautions.


Key Points: 

      Any person entering the state of Maine must quarantine for 14 days. 

     -Through the month of May, gatherings are restricted to 10 people or less. 

-Starting June 1st, gatherings of people can increase to 50 people or less. 

-Starting June 1st, lodging can resume normal activity.

Please make arrangements for groceries and supplies. Current residents have not been able to consistently rely on Hannaford’s online ordering. Also remember, you must have billing with PIA already set up and large grocery orders must be dropped off at the airport in banana boxes prior to the mail flight. If you have any questions, please contact PIA.
