If you have a vehicle you want removed from the island  you can arrange to remove it by ferry or transporter yourself and have your $250 deposit (if the vehicle has one) returned to you. If you do not make your own arrangements but want a vehicle removed,  email Jake at Matinicustownoffice@gmail.com and provide the vehicle year, make, model, color, VIN, and owner’s name. The town will attempt to get unwanted vehicles removed in the order of requests received. The town will retain the deposit and may need to request additional payment from the owner if the cost to remove exceeds $250.
